Lawn Care Programs That Grow with You

Lawn Health Starts with the Soil

Residential customers have been fertilizing their yards for nearly 70 years. The most common fertilizers available are man-made synthetics.

Science is now proving that synthetic fertilizer is:

  • Depleting the soil

  • Destroying soil structure

  • Making soil repel water

  • Killing beneficial fungi, bacteria, and nematodes

  • Making plants dependent on chemical fertilizers

But all is not lost—we have a solution for this challenge: four lawn care programs that rebuild soil health, strengthen roots, and help your lawn thrive the way nature intended.

The Pine Program

If you’re just starting to move away from traditional synthetic lawn care, the Larch Program offers a practical place to begin. It introduces natural fertilizers and soil amendments while still incorporating selective weed control for consistent results.

  • Blended approach using both natural inputs and synthetic weed control (only as needed)

  • Pre-emergent applied in early spring to prevent summer broadleaf weeds, also controls crabgrass

  • Post-emergent spot spray weed control throughout the season

  • Natural soil amendments added seasonally to support drainage and water retention, along with root and plant development

The Basic Cedar Program

Our Cedar Program builds on the foundation laid by the Larch Program, offering a more natural alternative. This option feeds the soil to build strong, healthy roots—naturally suppressing pests, weeds, and disease over time.

  • Uses a wider range of natural products to improve soil biology

  • Feeds and introduces beneficial fungi and bacteria

  • Increases water holding capacity

  • Supports nutrient uptake and overall soil structure

  • Naturally suppresses harmful insects, disease, and weeds

  • Weed control available on request, typically unnecessary as the lawn improves

The Cedar Ultra Program

Cedar Ultra is ideal for year two or three of a natural lawn care journey—or for those who want to begin with a completely chemical-free approach.

  • Safe for people and pets

  • Uses humic and amino acids to support root strength, stress and disease resistance, as well as photosynthetic performance and drought tolerance

  • Aerates soil and reduces compaction

  • Optimizes pH and increases nutrient uptake

  • Reduces overall fertilizer needs

  • Not guaranteed weed-free—but as soil health improves, weed pressure fades away

Note: Includes a free Western Red Cedar planting with program completion.
